Make Yourself Heard campaign
Make Yourself Heard is a police campaign about how to get urgent help from the police when someone is unable to speak. This can be particular useful for victims of domestic abuse who are in the same house as the perpetrator. After dialing 999 if the caller is unable to speak or make any sounds then you will be prompted to press 55. This will inform the police you are a genuine caller and not just a hoax or a dialing error – find out more about Make Yourself Heard.
