Advice to all patients
Please continue coming to appointments unless:
- We’ve contacted you to cancel or reschedule your appointment
- You have a high temperature and/or a new continuous cough
- You’ve been told to self-isolate
If you’re showing symptoms of COVID-19 or are self-isolating, please do not come to our hospitals or clinics. Instead, contact your service to inform them and rearrange your appointment.
If you’re expecting a home visit, please contact us if you or anyone in your home are showing symptoms of COVID-19.
Depending on your needs, we may be able to offer an alternative such as online consultations/Skype chats, or a call if you’re unable to attend an appointment.
Advice for visitors to our hospitals
To protect both our patients and our staff caring for them, we are now not allowing any visitors to our hospitals. Please consider other ways of keeping in touch, like phone or video calls. There are currently only two exceptions to this:
- Patients at the end of life - in these circumstances, the ward manager may allow one visitor to spend time with their loved one
- In-patients at Prospect Park - children will be allowed to visit their patient in the on-site family room
On arrival at any of our wards or departments, visitors should immediately wash their hands and report to the nurse in charge.
All visitors must also wash their hand or use the hand gel when they leave.
Offers of support
We greatly appreciate your offers of support, including donations, which are all helping our staff whilst they combat coronavirus (COVID-19). If you're looking to offer support to the NHS in some way, please email our Marketing and Communications Team.
