Berkshire Healthcare has paid tribute to Her Majesty, The Queen, who died on Thursday 8 September.
Extending condolences on behalf of the Trust, the Chief Executive Julian Emms, said: “The thoughts of our colleagues and community of Berkshire Healthcare are with the members of the Royal Family as they mourn the death of Her Majesty The Queen.
“Her Majesty served her country with distinction and was steadfast in her support of the NHS, most recently awarding the George Cross for its service during the pandemic.
“Her Majesty also bestowed our amazing volunteers with the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service, one of the highest honours in this sector, in recognition of their work supporting our patients and community.
“We will continue to support and work with our partners to meet the additional needs of the public and our staff during the period of mourning”.
