Liaison and Diversion project up for award double

The Thames Valley Liaison and Diversion service has been nominated in two categories in the Howard League for Penal Reform Community Award s, a national charity working for less crime, safer communities and fewer people in prison.

The service, which we manage, has been nominated in the ‘Liaison and Diversion’ category, and its lead Kishan Waas has been nominated in the ‘Criminal Justice Champion’ category. The awards, which take place on 30 November, recognise the country’s most successful community projects encouraging activity away from crime.

Kishan Waas, Service Manager, said, “This is a fantastic achievement for all of our staff. We work across Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire, and we are looking to expand our service in the future to help more people who need support.”
